MARCH 2017- Last month, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal’s (KRSM) regional divisions held their quarterly safety meetings beginning on February 3rd in Kentucky.
Seth Abraham, Director of Safety and Human Resources, attended each meeting and presented new job hazard analysis forms to the crews, discussed corporate safety statistics, and advocated proper protocol for reporting safety hazards and daily jobsite conditions.“I have seen positive changes in the safety culture, and our overall awareness and implementation of safety best practices has continued to improve,” noted Jeremy Dvorcek, Eastern Territory Safety Manager for KRSM.

A week after the Maryland division safety meeting was held, on February 17, one of their crews was recognized for safety achievement on a jobsite in Fort Belvoir, Virginia by the General Contractor, Clark Construction. That day, Clark provided a pizza lunch and safety certificate to the crew recognizing Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal as Safety Contractor of the Month. They were the only subcontractor on the job with a 100% safety reporting rate for on-time, efficient reports of Daily Jobsite Hazard Reports, Tool Box Talks, and Tool & Equipment Checks.

The crew included (pictured at right, L to R) John Hawkins, Margarito Maldonado, Harvey Gutierrez (Foreman and Safety Competent Person), Kason Kelly, and Anthony Palmer. (Not pictured are crew members Eric Valesquez and Brian Parks.) Your hard work and dedication to safety are sincerely appreciated! Great job guys!
