This month, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) would like to highlight the Michael B. Coleman Government Center and parking garage project in Columbus, Ohio.

The Michael B. Coleman Government Center is the new city office building and is part of the City of Columbus Government Municipal Campus division. Construction for this 8-story, 180,000-square-foot high rise began in 2015 and was officially completed in summer of 2018.

Altogether, KRSM installed over 70,000 square feet of material on this project which included 28,000 square feet of rainscreen panels, 6,300 square feet of insulated panels, 3,000 square feet of corrugated panels, 1,000 square feet of standing seam panels, 1,000 square feet of sunshades, and 32,900 square feet of built-up roofing.

“The project went very well,” said KRSM Project Manager Chris Lemmon. “Everyone did their part to ensure its success.”

This project also received a LEED Silver certification through the U.S. Green Building Council and was featured in the ‘Project Focus Section’ of the June 2019 edition of Metal Construction News (MCN) magazine.
