May 2017 – On Thursday, May 18th, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM), in Wheeling, West Virginia, held a media day event at the Capitol Theatre. Members of the local media were invited to learn not only about KRSM but also about the history of the Capitol Theatre.

Stan Gorczyca, KRSM Senior Project Manager, Geoff Wack, KRSM Estimator, and Dan Tennant, KRSM Sales Manager, talked about the process and plan that they have set in place for the roof replacement of the Capitol Theatre. “We are about finished tearing off one section of the old roof, and now we are getting ready to put on the new one. We are expecting to be completely finished with this project in a couple of weeks,” said Gorczyca.

Frank O’Brien, executive director of the Wheeling Convention and Visitors Bureau, which owns the Capitol Theatre, was also there to talk about the project. O’Brien explained that the decision for a roof replacement was to sustain the building. The Capitol Theatre is not the only local job that Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is working on. “We are finishing up Famous Supply, working on the Health Plan and we are starting Swisher International here soon,” said Gorczyca.

KRSM offered the Capitol Theatre a very competitive price to show commitment to the community. With the project coming close to an end, KRSM is proud to be working on such a historical landmark in downtown Wheeling.
