MARCH 2018 – Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) is featuring the University Terrace Student Housing at Fairmont State University as our “Project of the Month.”
Construction for the University Terrace, located in Fairmont, West Virginia, began in 2015 and was run by KRSM Project Manager Chris Lemmon. Four different 1960s apartment buildings were torn down and replaced by three brand new, state-of-the-art housing facilities. This new construction project features single apartments, double apartments, quads, and semi-suites and will offer 345 beds to its students nearly tripling the amount of space compared to the previous buildings including a common area connecting two of the buildings.
The project was completed in 2016 under a tight schedule approaching the fall semester of classes. Altogether, KRSM installed over 220,000 square feet of Tuscan and Vintage Wood fiber cement panels across both four-story buildings and the free-standing three-story building.
Great job to everyone involved and keep up the good work!
