Modern projects require more coordination than in the past. Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal has become a leader in our industry by implementing new technology such as 3D scanning, building information modeling (BIM), the latest in Autodesk and AutoCAD software, and field-optimized mobile software for smart devices (tablets). We utilize tablet-based software for on-the-jobsite time sheet and line item tracking and project document control for plans, specifications, addendums, bulletins, and requests for information (RFIs).
On the jobsite, Kalkreuth’s skilled project managers and foremen work with contractors to achieve schedule compliance and just-in-time material delivery. We uphold OSHA safety standards, including project-specific safety plans and the latest in fall protection systems. Kalkreuth adheres to prevailing wage regulations and participates with project labor agreements, project stabilization agreements, and national maintenance agreements.
More and more frequently, new construction projects are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certified, and Kalkreuth maintains engineering specialists who hold up-to-date LEED Accredited Professional (AP) certification. Kalkreuth employs a full-time engineering manager certified through the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
Kalkreuth focuses on continuing education in building technologies such as air and vapor barriers, fire codes, wind uplift, and energy efficiency. Our teams work with organizations including National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA), Energy Star, and RCI to provide continuous education opportunities for its staff.
