Proudly Servicing The Industry Since 1984
Today’s Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal descends from an industrial roofing and metal fabrication company—Kalkreuth Brothers—established in 1920. The family-run company focused on the heavy industrial business that lined the banks of the Ohio River during the mid-20th century.
November of 1984 marked the emergence of the company that we know today. John Kalkreuth and Jim Hurley purchased the business with the vision that hard work, good people, and unwavering commitment would make Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal a success. The company grew consistently and has become an industry leader over the years, again and again ranking as one of the nation’s largest roofing contractors. The company’s success is a testament to the core values that are still a focus of the business today.

ECMS is Growing
ECMS Bellaire, OH
East Coast Metal Systems relocates to Bellaire, OH, to allow for continued growth.

KRSM Frederick Grows
Maryland office in 2007

The Kaley Center
Corporate Upgrade
Kalkreuth opens new Corporate Headquarters in downtown Wheeling, WV. The old Riley Building becomes the Kaley Center, housing the corporate and Wheeling Production teams.

Steel City Welcomes KRSM
Pittsburgh’s Newest Roofing Company
Kalkreuth opens a sales office in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. The Pittsburgh office continues to grow and adds a production team to the office.

East Coast Metal Systems at The Highlands
East Coast opens a new 60,000-square-foot facility in Triadelphia, WV.

Kalkreuth adheres to strict performance guidelines for risk management and maintains a high-level commitment to safety. Our participation with NARI expands our internal safety functions, as NARI performs random job site inspections and holds mandatory annual safety director meetings. We want to be, and are, held to a higher standard.
