September 2017 – Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) participated in the American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walks in two of our market areas. Employees in Columbus, OH joined the Messer Construction Company team while KRSM employees in Wheeling, WV sponsored their own team and sold hearts to raise money for the cause.
The Heart Walk was designed by the AHA to help raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. The purpose of the race is to get people up and moving and to promote living a healthier lifestyle. The Heart Walks are located across the United States and bring together over a million Americans to help support this cause.
“This is a great event and a great opportunity to get out and get fit,” stated John Kalkreuth, President and CEO of KRSM. John added, “I would like to challenge all of our employees to get in shape and take part in next year’s Heart Walk events.”
Altogether, the teams that Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal employees were involved in raised over $12,700. A grand total of $214,1442 was raised by all participants of both races. This is KRSM’s second year of involvement with the Heart Walk in Wheeling and the first time that the Columbus area employees have taken part.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported another successful year.
