March 5th – 11th was Women in Construction Week! This year’s theme, ‘Many Paths, One Mission,’ celebrated women’s journeys toward strengthening and amplifying women’s success in the construction industry. Throughout WIC Week, we celebrated and promoted all women’s roles in the construction industry by highlighting the women of Kalkreuth and East Coast!

From March 7th – 9th, Chase Cupryk, Ernie Giancola, Bill Lewis, and Dave Hesse met in Dallas, TX, for the International Roofing Expo! As North America’s largest roofing and exteriors event, IRE brings professionals together to network, discover new products, and improve their knowledge of the roofing industry.

B&G GAME NIGHT

On March 9th, James Hurley and Chase Harvey attended Brasfield & Gorrie’s 5th Annual Game Night to represent Kalkreuth. The event benefitted Safe Haven, Tucker’s House, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.

The annual Mountain East Conference occurred in Wheeling, March 1st – 5th. Kalkreuth was proud to be a sponsor once again! Congratulations to Glenville State (Women’s) and West Liberty (Men’s) for taking home MEC Champion titles!

BUSINESS & HEALTH EXPO

The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Business & Health Expo took place on March 3rd & 4th. This event was an excellent opportunity for the community to talk with our Residential Office and other local businesses within several industries. They even ran into Avon Cobourne – WVU’s all-time leading rusher!

On March 4th, Sarah Scrudders, Joe Doerr, and Lace French attended the Catholic Charities 2023 Gala, Shining a Light on Hope – which honored the 2023 Charity in Action Award recipients Crystal Bauer, Vickie Joseph, and Our Lady of Peace Parish and School.

CAREER FAIRS

February was jam-packed full of Career Fairs! Our HR department and various team members traveled to West Virginia University, Penn State University, The University of Akron, The Ohio State University, The University of Toledo, and Morehead State University to meet students and discuss potential internships, co-ops, and/or full-time positions.
