NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

Throughout November, KRSM participated in the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Annual Food Drive! The collected non-perishable food items were distributed to local non-profits such as Laughlin Chapel, Catholic Charities, YWCA, and more. Thank you for helping your neighbors!

BEST OF THE OHIO VALLEY

We are honored for our Residential division to be again voted the #1 Roofing company in the Ohio Valley at The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register Readers Choice Awards!

Jenna Cooper, Sarah Scrudders, and Josh Wack accepted the award on behalf of the division.

KRSM DAY

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal was founded on November 13th, 1984, by two men with a dream. John and Jim took a leap of faith when starting this business, but it turned out to be the best decision they’ve ever made! They have been dedicated to a vision of hard work, good people, and unwavering commitment. The last 38 years have been full of ups and downs, but we’ve made it to 2022, standing more robust than ever.

On Friday, November 11th, each division celebrated the founding day with various food items. We are grateful to everyone who is and was part of this noble company. Your dedication and hard work are admirable. Companies dream of hiring team members like you. Thank you for inspiring us every day! We hope everyone had a wonderful KRSM Day!

Here’s to 38 more years!

VETERANS SERVICES CENTER GRAND OPENING

On November 10th, Rosalind Hogan attended the Platoon Veteran Services Center Grand Opening in Frederick, Maryland. VSC allows local Veteran service providers to come together in one place and provide essential services and programs for Veterans transitioning from service to civilian life.

FESTIVAL OF TREES

On November 9th, Whitney Wack, Payten Gibson, Cathy Forsyth, Rachael Stevick, and Jenna Cooper took on the task of picking out the tree for our annual Christmas Party. The tree is bought from the Festival of Trees at the Stifel Fine Arts Center and benefits the Oglebay Institute’s arts, nature, and history programs! Various trees, wreaths, and garlands are featured and decorated by creative and skilled volunteers. After the Christmas Party, the tree is donated through the Salvation Army to a family who is not able to afford one.

Later that evening, Carol Cornforth, Josh Wack, Katie Crook, Cathy Forsyth, and Jenna Cooper attended the Festival of Trees Business After Hours. This event provided an excellent opportunity to network with people from across the region while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and live music. They also got a sneak peek of the Festival of Trees and Holiday Art Show & Sale!

2022 MORE SPOOKTACULAR

October 28th was our second Spooktacular Costume Contest. There were a lot of great costumes that ended up making the judging pretty tough. Our individual costume winner was Kim Metz as a scarecrow, and our group costume winner was the 4th floor of the Kaley Center as The Wizard of Oz!

Thank you to everyone who participated. We are so excited about next year!

SPONSORSHIPS

Shane Pendleton, Kentucky Sheet Metal foreman, races his KDRA super stock every weekend at various local tracks! Kalkreuth sponsors Shane’s car and has helped him by providing sheet metal.

Good luck with your next race, Shane!

401(K) EDUCATIONAL MEETING

On October 18th and 20th, members of our Kalkreuth team in Wheeling sat in on an educational meeting to learn about the benefits of a 401(k) plan and planning for retirement. Grateful to have Steven Waters from Raymond James in the office to conduct the meetings and provide helpful information!
