During the week of March 7-13th, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal took to social media to show support for our “women in construction!”

The focus of Women in Construction (WIC) Week is to highlight women as a viable component of the construction industry. WIC Week also provides an occasion for the NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry. We are grateful to have each and every one of the women on our team in ALL of our locations!

THROWBACK THURSDAY (40TH ST.)

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal of today descends from an industrial roofing and metal fabrication company—Kalkreuth Brothers—established in 1920. The family-run company focused on the heavy industrial business that lined the banks of the Ohio River during the mid-20th century.

November of 1984 marked the emergence of the company that we know today. John Kalkreuth, Chairman, and Jim Hurley, President/CEO, purchased the business with the vision that hard work, good people, and unwavering commitment would make Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal a success. The company grew consistently and over the years has become an industry leader, continuing to rank as one of the nation’s largest roofing contractors. 100 years later, Kalkreuth’ s success is a testament to the core values that are still a focus of the business today.

KRSM CELEBRATES NATIONAL ENGINEERS WEEK

This year, National Engineers Week was celebrated February 21-27, and we have some of the very best engineers here at Kalkreuth!

The purpose of National Engineers Week is to call attention to the contributions to society that engineers make and it is also a time for engineers to emphasize the importance of learning math, science, and technical skills. Without their expertise, our company wouldn’t be where it is today. Thank you to our Engineering team for their continued hard work!
