Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal’s Business Development Manager in our Lexington office recently lent a helping hand in the fight against COVID19. Lyndsey put her crafting skills to good use and successfully sewed and donated masks to a few of our field employees.
A little help can go a long way during this time. Way to go, Lyndsey! Keep up the great work and thank you for doing your part in keeping those around you safe!
Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal’s Frederick, Maryland division recently displayed a large banner outside the office to show support to local COVID19 workers. Our team would like to thank Humdinger Productions with their quick response time with helping us get a banner made in such a timely fashion.
We hope that this will help bring a smile to all those who pass by on the way to their way to work each day!
Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal recently teamed up with ABC Supply of Benwood, WV and Wheeling Distribution of Wheeling, WV to complete a reroof on the “Caddy Camp” at Oglebay Resort.
This structure has a ton of history! Built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), this quaint building served as the dining hall for golf caddies through the 1990’s. Famous golf course architect, Bob Biery, created the Oglebay Caddy Camp, which has been featured in several major golf magazines. Youngsters from all over the Ohio Valley would spend the summer at Caddy Camp, caddying and working odd jobs throughout the park. When Caddy Camp ceased operations, Oglebay began using the main mess hall and cook’s quarters for small parties, weddings, family reunions and other small gatherings. Although the original “Caddy Camp” program has been discontinued, the historic building lives on.
Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal’s Sales Manager, Dan Tennant, attended Caddy Camp as a kid and was thrilled that the company he works for was able to have a hand in bringing this building back to life.
While we face a lot of uncertainty in the world today, one thing we know for sure is we are all in this together, which is why Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is a proud sponsor of Home of the Brave.
Home of the Brave is a community-based fundraiser providing comfort food or supplies from local merchants to our front line responders.
We are thrilled to be able to help out our community out where we can during this difficult time.
Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal was recently recognized by Centria’s 2019 Building Excellence Awards for a project we did at One University Circle in Cleveland, Ohio. Our Wheeling team took home second place in Overall Building, and first place in Multi-Residential for their work. Congratulations to everyone who helped make this project happen!
As of April 2020, we are pleased to share with you all that Senior Engineer at Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal, Ed Calvert, has completed all of the required continuing education hours. Ed successfully renewed his LEED AP BD+C credentials and is now certified through 2022! Congratulations Ed!
Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal recently lent a helping hand during an Eagle Scout Community Project in Pittsburgh. The project was brought to our attention by Rob Nicholson of DPR Construction, whose son Alex is an Eagle Scout member. Our team donated standing seam roofing panels and flat sheets for the flashings on the dugouts at the local baseball field.
Rob Nicholson said, “You guys are awesome people. We can’t believe how nice it is. They all talked about the roof and they thought it would just be basic roofing.”
We are proud to see our youth making a difference and we are thrilled to have been able to assist Alex in his project. Keep up the good work, Alex!
KRSM celebrated National Women in Construction Week from March 1-7. We are so appreciative of all the hard work our employees put forth each and every day!
