LEED SUBMITTAL TRAINING

APRIL 2019 – Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) LEED AP BD+C, GRP Senior Engineer Ed Calvert held an educational training for the entire engineering department on how to properly complete LEED submittals.

Construction industry professionals predict more than 60% of projects will be “green” by 2021. “LEED incurs changes and updates from time to time, which also changes submittals that are required on projects,” said Ed. “It is important for all of our engineers to know how to properly obtain all of the information necessary, and then create an accurate submittal in the correct format. General contractors and architects are demanding more detailed LEED submittals, and we need to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and be ready to provide them.”
