Matt Caldwell with Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal’s (KRSM) West Virginia special projects division is this month’s featured roofing foreman.

Matt began working for KRSM in 1999 as a roofing apprentice, and his first project was a BP gas station in Wheeling. He is now a roofing foreman and is currently working on a project for Wetzel County Schools in New Martinsville, West Virginia under Project Manager (PM) Justin Kanyuch.

Matt has 20+ years experience in the roofing industry and has worked on numerous high-profile projects during his career with Kalkreuth. Matt recalled some of his larger projects in the past and noted the Nationwide Arena, Cabela’s Distribution Center, and Ohio State University’s Football Stadium.

“Matt Caldwell is an absolute wonder to work with. I’ve had the privilege of working with Matt for the last two years, and he’s an extremely hard and loyal worker,” said Kanyuch, who works frequently with Matt. “He is, and always has been, very dedicated to KRSM, and I couldn’t ask for a better employee.”

When asked about safety on the job as KRSM’s number one priority and responsibility, Matt noted that it’s “VERY important” and has “come a long way over the last few years.”

Matt currently lives in West Liberty, WV with his wife Jessi.

We are honored to have Matt as a member of the Kalkreuth family and sincerely thank him for his commitment and hard work since 1999.
