NRCA FOREMEN-ONLY TRAINING

FEBRUARY 2017- On Friday, February 10, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal’s (KRSM) West Virginia division held an all-day foremen-only training hosted by the NRCA at the Wheeling Park White Palace. Tom Shanahan, NRCA’s Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management, conducted the training which focused on communication, leadership, and management skills for field managers.

A total of 18 roofing and sheet metal foremen attended the workshop. The goal was to help participants learn the following skills: identifying when to manage and when to lead, identifying communication approaches, recognizing and improving existing communication skills, increasing crew productivity and job management, implementing conflict resolution efforts, and using what they’ve learned in the field.

We sincerely appreciate the participation of our foremen and look forward to ongoing involvement with continuing education programs and best practices across the industry.
