The newly renovated and expanded Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio facility in Columbus, Ohio, has officially become the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world. This major expansion enables the organization to serve an additional 2,000 families each year—bringing total capacity to approximately 6,500 families annually.

For more than 40 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) has supported families by providing a place to stay near the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. What began as a grassroots partnership between dedicated volunteers and local McDonald’s Owner/Operators has grown into a vital resource, serving tens of thousands of families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is proud to have contributed to this landmark healthcare construction project through the Roofing Alliance’s RMHC Partnership. Our team provided commercial roofing and waterproofing services for the new facility, helping ensure long-term durability and performance.

This project was completed using high-quality roofing materials generously supplied by Hunter Panels, IB Roof Systems, and American Hydrotech—supporting a structure designed to serve families in need for years to come.

Kalkreuth partnered with Continental Building Company and Meyers+Associates to successfully deliver the following scope of work:

• 16,100 sq. ft. PVC adhered roofing system
• Installation of 2 roof hatches
• 1,100 linear feet of coping and edge metal
• 2,500 sq. ft. hot fluid-applied waterproofing
• Installation of 660 pavers
• Patio traffic coating across 2 patio areas
• 7,800 sq. ft. architectural wall panels
• 1,700 sq. ft. composite panels
• Custom interior and exterior Ronald McDonald House logo signage
