Project Description: YMCA roofing project Wheeling WV

In late 2025 and early 2026, the YMCA of Wheeling in Wheeling, West Virginia completed a $7 million facility expansion. The project aimed at enhancing programs, improving functionality, and better serving the local community. Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal, a trusted commercial roofing contractor in Wheeling, WV, was selected to provide high-performance roofing and exterior metal panel solutions for this large-scale expansion.

Project Scope & Roofing Systems Installed

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal delivered comprehensive commercial roofing and metal panel installation services tailored to the project’s design and performance requirements. The scope of work included the installation of 1,200 square feet of EPDM roofing, an ideal solution for low-slope roof areas due to its proven durability, flexibility, and long-term weather resistance.

In addition, the project features 9,300 square feet of standing seam metal roof panels. The panels were chosen for their strength, clean architectural appearance, and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions common in West Virginia. To further improve the building envelope, 7,500 square feet of insulated metal panels were installed.

Each roofing system was carefully selected to meet performance goals, comply with local building codes, and provide long-term protection against wind, rain, and seasonal temperature fluctuations.
