OCTOBER 2016 – Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal’s (KRSM) West Virginia division recently completed The Temple-Tifereth Israel project in Beachwood, Ohio, which kicked off last November. KRSM Project Manager John Sberna worked with The Albert M Higley Company as the General Contractor for the project, and KRSM’s Yancey Clark served as sheet metal foreman.
The 14,600 square foot scope of work included a modular single skin panel system, screen walls, and a fully custom Riverclack metal roofing system. This project was the first time the ground breaking Riverclack system was used in North America. Riverclack is an Italian manufacturer who has pioneered a new metal roofing system design that snaps in place, with no mechanical fastening, and results in a completely watertight seal.
“Working with an overseas manufacturer posed its challenges with shipping, delivery, and lead times. The system itself also proved to be a bit of a challenge to install over a dome, but we created six different anchor points at the tops of the domes for tie-off so that our men could safely work on securing the new roof system,” stated Sberna. “In the end, everything went smoothly, and the Riverclack team was very easy to work with. This system is truly one of a kind and should serve the Temple-Tifereth community well into the future.”
