FEBRUARY 2019 – Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) held its quarterly safety meetings across all office locations, which are mandatory for field personnel.
Quarterly safety meetings are centered around refreshing safety rules and regulations as well as hazards. “Working safely may ‘get old,’ but so do those who practice it,” said Safety Specialist Zach Harman.
In addition, Ohio Roofing Foreman Sam Hostutler received a gift card, new scissors, a roller, and snips for completing over 50 job hazard analysis (JHA) tests since the last safety meeting. Foremen Mike Frye and Dominic Fracasso also received a gift card for completing the second highest number of JHAs.
“At the end of the day, making sure everyone gets home safely is the goal that matters most. Doing whatever I can to ensure every worker is protected is something that’s really important to me,” said Kentucky Safety Specialist Kelby Ferrell. “Precaution is always better than a cure.”
