January 2018 – Last month, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) held a recertification and training week from January 15-18th for all Columbus based roofing and sheet metal foremen and apprentices.
The training consisted of a 10-hour OSHA training, a 30-hour OSHA training, a level 1 crane rigging training, and a rough terrain forklift training. Altogether, 37 people were able to attend the training and obtain recertification in these areas.
KRSM Western Territory Safety Manager Kevin Barnhart organized the training. “This was an opportunity to provide these individuals with refresher training so they stay up to date on the latest policies and procedures within our organization and the industry,” said Barnhart. “Safety is very important, and we expect our crews to get the job done safely and do the right thing even when nobody is around.”
Thanks to everyone who attended and for making safety our number one priority. Keep up the good work!
