FOREMAN SPOTLIGHT: MIKE CROSS

This month’s featured sheet metal foreman is Mike Cross, aka Carney, with Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal’s Ohio division.

Mike began working for KRSM as a sheet metal worker in 1996, and his first project was the Hilton Columbus at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. “My foreman was Brian Blacker, who has taught me a lot. How to run work, read prints, and get jobs done in a timely manner. Chuck King was superintendent then.” Mike is currently working on the Columbus Topiary Park with Project Manager Stephen Coyle. He also mentioned Pat Hurley, “Pat has been very good to work with, and thanks for dealing with me.”

Mike lives in Crooksville with his wife of 32 years, Andrea. He has three children and nine grandchildren who keep him on his toes, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. Mike loves to ride his Harley and sell food from his concession stands in his spare time. “It’s been a good company to work for and taught me a lot. I have worked with a lot of good guys on jobs and in the office, so let’s keep up the good work, everyone!”

We are proud to have Mike as a member of the Kalkreuth family and appreciate his hard work and dedication since he began 27 years ago.
