Our Residential Division just wrapped up an incredible job in Rio Grande, Ohio – re-roofing all five Adamsville cabins at the historic Bob Evans farm!
The team removed 3,200 sq. ft. of Cedar Shakes and replaced them with CertainTeed Presidential Shake Shingles in Aged Bark – perfectly complement the rustic charm of these 1800s cabins.
We were thrilled to see such a large crowd at the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra’s Music Under the Stars! We look forward to this event every year and couldn’t be prouder to be a part of it. We’re already looking forward to next year!
“Music Under the Stars is a great way to bring two treasures together and provide a free night of entertainment with the best artists around. We are thrilled to help provide all that for free, not just for Wheeling, but the whole upper Ohio Valley,” said President/CEO Jim Hurley
During the last week of August, Wheeling BD Manager Josh Wack attended the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce‘s 87th Annual Meeting and Business Summit in White Sulpher Springs, WV! The event is the largest gathering of business, industry, education, financial, and political leaders from around the state – full of networking and business opportunities to help further economic growth.
Pictured with Josh are Jason Koegler, Executive Director of Grow Ohio Valley, and Eriks Janelsins, President & CEO of the Oglebay Foundation.
This month’s featured foreman is Ismael Tejeda with our Maryland division. Ismael began working at KRSM in 2011, drawn by the opportunity to improve work and benefit conditions, and seeking a change of pace from working with the same people for an extended period.
Among the most remarkable and challenging projects he has worked on was the National Museum of the Army, which stood out due to its large scale and high-profile nature. Currently, Ismael is engaged in the Douglas MacArthur Elementary School project, which is progressing well despite the usual challenges of new construction. As a foreman, the most rewarding aspect of his work lies in the open and constructive relationships he fosters with various project managers.
Throughout his career at KRSM, Ismael has learned valuable lessons in adapting to different project managers’ personalities and management styles. Ismael resides in Glen Burnie, Maryland, with his wife, Carmen, and they have four grown children. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, watching soccer, and vacationing at the beach.
On August 18th, Kalkreuth sponsored the Oglebay Institute Board Benefit once again! This enchanting evening occurred at Oglebay’s Mansion Museum, where attendees filled the lawn as they enjoyed cocktails, a beer garden, gourmet food, and a dessert buffet.
This annual event celebrates art, nature, and history while raising money to benefit the venues and programs that provide experiences for countless Ohio Valley residents and visitors throughout the year.
“Proceeds from Board Benefit go a long way in helping us fulfill our mission and remain a vibrant part of Wheeling’s cultural landscape. The event also heightens community awareness of Oglebay Institute programming and the importance of personal experiences in the arts and nature.” – Danielle Cross McCracken, OI President
